ALL RUNNERS WELCOME!
We will be recognizing the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion as our theme for 2026. Check back soon to see our medal and shirt designs. Canadian Coast Guard has won the right to name the 2026 charity as the champions of the Battle of the Badges.
Although runners from out-of-province were thrilled with our course for the last few years, we have reached the point that we can no longer sustain the level of effort to set up, and marshal, such a wide-ranging downtown course. Our new course is safer, easier to set up and manage, and has allowed us to add a 5k event. It features a lower elevation gain, 50% increase of distance in the Park, and has enhanced opportunities for your supporters to follow your run. Check out our new routes. We hope you like them!
All proceeds from the USR are donated to the charity chosen by the previous year's Battle of the Badges winner, the Canadian Coast Guard in 2024. The Canadian Coast Guard chose The Islaview Foundation in memory of Kaiden Little for 2025. Canadian Coast Guard were the previous winners and their designated charity, Candelighters NL, received over $8,000 from the 2024 USR.
