Announcing the Do-It-Yourself USR

The USR was created to support charities chosen by our Uniformed Services, and we didn't want to let another year go by without making a contribution. So we have created the Do-It-Yourself USR! #USR2021

We also wanted to recognize the support of our Uniformed Services during Snowmageddon and the Covid-19 pandemic.

Raising Funds for Charities

All proceeds from the USR are donated to the charity chosen by the previous year's Battle of the Badges winner, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary. Our last charity was the Gathering Place. This year's charity will be Wounded Warriors Canada.

Schedule & Fees

  • Registration Opens: May 1
  • Run/Walk: June 1 - June 30
  • Entry Fee: $20
  • Finisher Medal (enlarge)
  • Optional Shirt (enlarge)

A minimum of $10 from every registration will go to our selected charity Wounded Warriors Canada. Choose one of the Uniformed Services to help their organization win the Battle of the Badges. Whichever organization raises the most money wins the Battle and gets to choose next year's charity. You can donate an additional amount as well.

Pickup or distribution of Finisher Medals, shirts, etc will be about a month after the running window closes.

List of Distances

Complete your run/walk on any course, although we recommend the actual USR routes. Do your distance all in one day, or in increments - your choice!

This is not a race, roads will not be closed and no times will be gathered - so there is no advantage in taking risks. Be safe and don't take risks with traffic or your health in making your effort.

In these times please run solo or with your bubble group, and respect social distancing.

2019 Results

Putt & Murrin win Half-Marathon, Greene & Howard win 10k, Run-DNC win Relay, and RNC win the Battle of the Badges, as pictured. Click on the pic for all results.
