Text Box: 2nd Annual Penney Mazda Bell Island Blast 10 Miler —> Ready to Go! Registration Is Open! The inaugural Penney Mazda Bell Island Blast in 2009 was a grand success with over 100 runners completing the scenic route on a glorious, but very hot day. So of course we are going to do it again! As before, park your car at the ferry terminal in Portugal Cove and we’ll bus you to the start line at the School, where you can get a shower when you are finished. The race features chip timing this year, the usual water stops, a very safe and beautiful course, and great local support. A great reception follows with the award of numerous draw prizes and the finishers’ racing cap! The race is a sanctioned race on the NLAA Road Racing calendar.
