Text Box: Peter Power & Alison Jones Overall Winners The inaugural Penney Mazda Bell Island Blast was a grand success and Peter Power and Alison Jones, both of the host club, cruised to victory. A total of 102 runners from all over Canada competed in the race under sweltering conditions. Penney Mazda Bell Island Blast 10 Mile Athletics NorthEAST hosted the new 10 Mile race, the Penney Mazda Bell Island Blast on Sunday, August 23rd. The race was a sanctioned race on the NLAA Road Racing calendar. Check out this site again next year for details of the 2010 race—bigger and better again!
